Trail of Tears National Historic Trail

The Star Spangled Banner National Historic Trail spans across the Mid-Atlantic Region at various locations. It's primary site is Fort McHenry in Maryland and the most challenging stamp to retrieve is definitely on Tangier Island.

J. Percy Pierce Lake

A small state park in Tennessee with a beautiful lake right by a dam you get to drive over as you head to the park.

Junaluska Memorial & The Museum of the Cherokee

This memorial was established to honor Junaluska, an important Cherokee leader during the 1800s.  He and members of his family are buried here, and the site includes a museum which displays both Cherokee artifacts and contemporary Cherokee artwork.  There is also a medicine plant trail at the site. 

Lake Dardanelle State Park

A beautiful little state park in Arkansas right on Lake Dardanaelle. I had the privilege to spend some time hiking, walking, and 'camping' here for a night during my Arkansas Tour in the summer of 2020. 

Mount Nebo
State Park

A gorgeous state park located atop Mount Nebo overlooking Lake Dardanelle in Arkansas. The switchback drive to the top is a joy and the view from the top of the mountain looking down can take your breath away. Definitely worth the visit!

Pea Ridge National Military Park

Petit Jean State Park

A quaint state park located atop Petit Jean Mountain next to the Arkansas River in the area between the Ouachita Mountains and Ozark Plateaus. Definitely worth the visit!

Pinnacle Mountain State Park

West of Little Rock, this state park stands at the center atop Pinnacle Mountain  next to the Big and Little Maumelle Rivers. Well worth the visit!

Shiloh National Military Park
