Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area

Like many folks, I often don't think about the side of Washington State east of the Cascade mountains, but there are a lot of awesome sites to visit include Lake Roosevelt. My main stop in the area was Fort Spokane and Spring Canyon State Park right on the water. The scenic drive in the area was wonderful and allows you snake along the Columbia River taking in sites like Spring Canyon, Kettle Falls, Chief Joseph Dam, and the Grand Coulee Dam.
