Golden Spike National Historic Park
We have all read about the Transcontinental Railroad in some grade school history class. This is where it all came together. If memory serves, it started in Omaha, NE and Sacramento, CA. Two tracks coming together and meeting here in Promontory, UT with the famous Golden Spike.
They put on a nifty little show with the two trains representing the two tracks and video center full of historical information to learn (re-learn) from. It only takes maybe an hour or two to thoroughly visit and worth the time to say "been there, done that".
This is also where I first realized I had left Baby Yoda behind at the City of Rocks Reserve in Idaho about two hours earlier.
