Grand Teton National Park

In 2001, I threw my laptop and a bag of clothes in my two seater convertible (MR2-Spyder) and drove across country. I was aiming Colorado Springs with a stop in the Seattle area. While en route, I tried to stop and see as much as I could along the way. I earned my first stamps that year and thus began my lifetime journey to see everything and collect them all.

Kahlan, Avery, and William joined me for a visit to this majestic park during our 2022 Summer Road-trip. We were originally planning to camp in Yellowstone, but due the historic flooding that summer our campsite was closed and I snagged us a spot at the Grand Tetons. However, when we arrived at Colter Bay, the ranger pointed us to the wrong campsite. After about an hour of sleep, we were forced to move locations in the middle of the night and ended up just crashing in the car at the entrance to Yellowstone so we could have an early start to visit Old Faithful.

We swung back down through Grand Teton after leaving Yellowstone and took the scenic drive through the heart of the park to take in the views (and pick up the stamps along the way). What I soon realized was that this was a National Park that deserves a quality visit. I will be setting up a week long vacation to in Grand Teton in the future to provide the time to hike many of it's trails along with Yellowstone.
